Background:

Dr. Lin graduated from the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in June 2009. Her tenure at M.D. Anderson provided broad clinical training and a fundamental scientific foundation upon which to build her career in translational research studying potential therapeutic targets and relevant metastatic and angiogenic pathways in advanced ovarian cancer. Her work has been presented at national meetings and have published in several peer-review journals, including Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Research, and the New England Journal of Medicine. In recognition of her research efforts, she was awarded the J.G. Moore Award for Outstanding Basic Science Presentation by a Fellow at the 2006 Western Association of Gynecologic Oncologists, as well as the Diane Denson Tobola Fellowship in Ovarian Cancer Research. Her clinical and leadership skills at M.D. Anderson were recognized when she was awarded Trainee of the Quarter by the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Trainee and Alumni Affairs. Prior to fellowship, she completed an obstetrics-gynecology residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, one of the primary teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. During this time, she was awarded both teaching awards: Best 2nd Year Teacher Award and Chief Resident Obstetrics-Gynecology Resident-as-Teacher Award.
