Background:
Dr. Gottsegen is a New York City native who graduated with a bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from Fordham University, where he made the Dean’s List each semester and graduated with Cum Laude honors. He subsequently pursued his Doctor of Medicine degree at New York Medical College, where he was awarded membership into Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society. After obtaining his MD degree, he completed an internship in internal medicine at Winthrop-University Hospital followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Gottsegen is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He pursued an additional year of fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles in dedicated musculoskeletal imaging and intervention. He maintains a wide array of interests, including sports and sarcoma imaging, and is actively involved in research as well as several professional societies. His work has been featured in national publications including Radiographics and Emergency Radiology.
