Background:

Dr. Spicer has been on faculty at the Keck School of Medicine at USC since 1980 when he began as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine in the Department of Oncology. Currently an associate professor, Dr. Spicer is also the Co-Director of the Clinical Investigations Support Office at USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer and Hospital. Dr. Spicer holds several United States patents for his medical inventions and chairs Keck’s Institutional Review Board, overseeing that faculty research is conducted ethically. He is a medical oncology attending physician at both the LAC+USC Medical Center and the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, a General Medicine Ward Attending Physician at LAC+USC Medical Center and was the founder of Balance Pharmaceuticals based in Los Angeles.
