Background:
Dr. Geiseler has been a prominent clinician and educator in the Infectious Diseases Division for many years. He consistently maintains a sizable caseload of consultation patients at Keck Hospital of USC, a portion of which serves as a teaching service for clinical fellows. At Keck Hospital of USC and USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Hospital, Dr. Geiseler is able to tirelessly prepare fellows in the practice of Infectious Disease consultation for such frequently complex patients as those with associated oncologic, transplant-related, and orthopedic problems.
In addition to inpatient consultation, Dr. Geiseler maintains an ongoing interest in emporiatrics (travel medicine) as well as the evaluation of patients with fever of unknown origin.
