Surgery - Clinical Instructor (Hepatobiliary Transplant)

The Division of Hepatobiliary Transplant Surgery of the Department of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California is offering a faculty appointment as a clinical instructor for a one or two year fellowship in hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery emphasizing both laparoscopic and open surgery. The division has a large volume practice that includes both private and county hospital activity. The spectrum of surgery includes hepatic resections for primary and metastatic cancer, biliary, and gallbladder cancer, surgical management of pancreatitis and pancreatic cancers (proximal and distal), and bile duct reconstructions. In addition, the division has a large volume of retroperitoneal tumor management including adrenals, sarcomas, and lymphadenectomies. There is also the opportunity to participate in liver and pancreas procurement and implantation in the context of transplantation as a minor part of the curriculum. The division is only accepting those who have completed surgical training in the United States. The fellowship program is accredited by the AHPBA for fellowship.
