The Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute (ZNI) invites applicants for a position at the assistant or associate professor level. The position is aimed at applicants whose research program concerns molecular and/or cellular aspects of neural development and plasticity, especially from synapse formation to the functional properties of neural circuits in the mammalian nervous system. Investigators with functional insights into neurodevelopmental disorders are also welcome. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., with an outstanding academic record and an innovative research program in neuroscience. The successful candidate will receive a generous start-up package and will have a primary academic appointment in a basic science department within the KSOM. He or she will have the opportunity to participate in the scientific and teaching activities of the department, as well as in USC’s Neuroscience Graduate Program.
