By definition, surgery is the treatment or investigation of injuries or disorders of the body by incision or manipulation by instruments. Keck Medical Center of USC's physicians are experts in the surgical treatment and investigation of all medical issues. From a relatively simple outpatient hernia operation to a more complex spinal procedure, our surgeons are all guided by their dedication to providing the best possible outcome for their patients while advancing the frontiers of medicine.
As part of a highly respected academic medical center, our surgeons engage in groundbreaking research to bring about the latest advancements in surgical techniques and technology. In addition, we train and mentor the next generation of surgical specialists. They also undergo surgical rotations at Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is designated by the National Cancer Institute as one of the nation’s 41 comprehensive cancer centers.
